Riverbank House, Bed and Breakfast & self-catering
Riverbank House is a large Victorian property on the edge of the Peak District, close to the centre of Matlock. Providing 12 en-suite rooms.
Riverbank House lies on the banks of the River Derwent, close to the bridge. Our family-owned bed and breakfast, is the only Matlock B&B to have a river frontage access and fishing, with its own parking within a quiet cul de sac. We are centrally-located, within walking distance of the bus and train station, pubs, shops and restaurants. We are ideally placed for exploring the Peak District and a just a short drive from Bakewell, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Alton Towers, with the Heights of Abraham & Gulliver’s Kingdom only a mile away.
What a lovely B&B very comfortable & welcoming. Great location to all shops bars & restaurants. Nothing was too much trouble. The garden backed on to the River Derwent with a lovely bench seat to sit & enjoy the evening sun. Definitely recommend this B&B
Spotted here recently with my wife and my brother and his wife. Had a great weekend, beds were comfy, rooms were nicely presented and breakfast was lovely. The owners were very welcoming and took time to chat to us at every meeting. Will be returning at every opportunity
